A few months ago, I took my first budget flight in Europe, and honestly, I didn’t expect much. I had heard mixed reviews about RyanAir, but since my flight was departing from RyanAir LGW Terminal, I decided to keep an open mind.
I reached Gatwick early in the morning, and to my surprise, the check-in process was super smooth. The self-service kiosks at the RyanAir LGW Terminal made everything quick — printing my boarding pass, tagging my luggage, and dropping off my bag took less than ten minutes. I was expecting long queues, but it was way more efficient than I thought.
After security, I grabbed a coffee and took some time to explore the shops around the terminal. The vibe was lively yet organized, and even though RyanAir is known for being a low-cost carrier, the overall experience felt comfortable and well-managed.
When it was finally time to board, everything was on schedule. The staff were friendly, the boarding process was straightforward, and even though the seats were basic, the flight itself was smooth. I realized that for short trips, you really don’t need anything fancy — just punctuality and convenience, and RyanAir delivered that perfectly.
So, if you ever plan to fly from RyanAir LGW Terminal, don’t stress too much. Keep things simple, arrive a bit early, and you might just end up having a better experience than you expect.
