As a parent, you are probably excited about having your baby’s photo taken. You have already contacted a Family photographer and have arranged a date for the shoot. As the day draws near you are super excited but even in all the excitement, you have to prepare baby and any other person that will be in the shoot.
Who will be in the photos?
As the parent, you have the say in who appears in the photos and who does not. Generally, it is advisable to include the whole family in some of the photos. While you may not want to appear in the pictures, note that this is something for posterity and you may not want to look back and regret anything. When planning for baby photos, think about his/her clothing also and it should be nice.
Get your partner in
Whether you are the mother or the father arranging the shoot, you should make sure that your partner is also included in the planning. Talk about the upcoming shoot with your partner and ask them to share any ideas they may have. While you may be excited about yourbaby photography, it is important to not forget the other siblings. They too are excited about their sibling and will be happy to take part in the photo-shoot. Make provisions to ensure that the siblings can also be part of the shoot. This may mean arranging the shoot at a time when the other siblings are out of school. It will also not just make a perfect baby photography but will also make a wonderful family photo.
Think about why you are taking the shoot
What is the main reason for taking this shoot? Is it for an announcement, is it for a naming ceremony or is it to frame and keep for posterity. Knowing why you want the photoshoot can help you have an idea of the budget you need to set aside for the project. You have to look at the photoshoot as a project and you should be able to plan and set a budget that is affordable for you.
Find a photographer
The baby shoot will definitely not hold if you do not have a photographer. It is important to ensure that you get a professional Newborn Photographer who knows their way not only with cameras but with babies. Start by asking around for some reputable photographers around your area. Talk to a number of them before settling for the right one. When you do get a photographer, make sure you agree beforehand what is expected and for how much.
